Listening to him has an aura of sorrow to me. He was dying because of cancer but was talking to his students about his childhood dreams and how can you come them truth. He was a professor of physic at Michigan university.
A year after that last session which was mentioned in the talk, he was gone actually died because of the cancer that he said. He was talking about his cancer publicly for the first time and nobody was more confidant than his students at the university.
I'm green with envy and can't present how i am impressed by his talk while thinking he's dying like us... yes..The only difference is that he knows that the exact time and we are happy in our ignorance.
I'm not pretty sure that was Socratie or Aristotle had said: happiness is equal with ignorance... I'm thinking about how short is this invisible life? And again many questions like "which is the best activity in the world for you" " are you sure to spend your time to study and learn some meaningless math and GRE word?" " is that the path to achieve your dream or not" " do you do these hopeless homeworks to satisfy yourself or others?" " is that valuable to do an infinitesimal thing to zip people's mouths up?" surround me.
I hate this situation which can freeze me for days but i need to re-think deeper.
.
Anyway the first not is started by his commemorative honor. Hopefully he's in the better world and now peacefully live in the middle of his dreams and nice imaginations like exploring zero gravity.
